The Hands Of Fatima, 1989 - Canvas Print

A crowd of veiled women fills this vertical piece, their expressive eyes the only feature visible above jewel-toned niqabs patterned in chevrons and waves. Raised Hamsa hands rise throughout the crowd, each one decorated with evil eyes, birds, and Arabic calligraphy, while a golden crescent moon glows against the black night sky above. Deep blues, magenta, and ochre give the scene a rich, folk-art energy. The Hands Of Fatima, 1989 speaks to protection, unity, and shared identity, making this wall art a striking choice for an eclectic living room or reading nook.
