Edward Hopper - Canvas Prints
Edward Hopper spent years as a commercial illustrator before painting took hold, and the tension between that working life and his artistic ambitions never fully left his canvases. He studied under Robert Henri in New York, traveled to Paris, and eventually found his subject matter closer to home: American diners, gas stations, hotel rooms, and the people sitting alone inside them. His oil paintings and watercolors captured a specific kind of urban quiet that resonated long after his 1967 death. Nighthawks remains his most iconic work.
