Monkeys Dressed As Soldiers Playing Cards And Carousing - Canvas Print

A flickering candle lights up this tavern scene where a band of monkeys, dressed head to toe in soldier costumes, gather round a rustic table for cards and wine. Rendered in deep crimson, wood brown, and golden ochre, the oval composition uses dramatic chiaroscuro to pick out feathered caps and velvet doublets against shadowy stone walls. Playful and satirical, Monkeys Dressed As Soldiers Playing Cards And Carousing brings a dose of wit to a study or den, and this David Teniers the Younger wall art gives any room a story worth a second look.
