Changes II - Canvas Print

Changes II stacks bands of color and texture into a tall, layered composition, moving from a deep red-brown register with a small compass mark through sandy beige scribbles, midnight blue with translucent turquoise ovals, and down to an earthy terracotta base of chalky crosshatching. The mixed textures and grounded, sandy palette give it a worn, collected feel, like a piece assembled over time. Julie Havel's vertical abstract brings warmth and quiet complexity to a stairwell, hallway, or reading nook where its layers reward a longer look.
