Claude Monet - Canvas Prints
Claude Monet spent decades painting outdoors, chasing the way light changes a subject from one hour to the next. He was a founding force of French Impressionism - loose brushwork, soft color, atmosphere over precision - and his influence on how artists observe and record the natural world is hard to overstate. He returned to the same subjects obsessively: haystacks, Rouen Cathedral, the Seine, and finally the water garden he built at Giverny, which consumed the last thirty years of his life. The Water Lilies series almost never happened.
