Tess Deal came to fine art through fashion design, and that background still shows in how she thinks about color and texture. After training at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and the University of North Carolina, she moved through digital design, painted textiles, and jewelry before landing in mixed-media abstract work. Her Floridian upbringing and love of travel run through every piece, each one built to feel as tactile as it looks.
