Nithya Swaminathan’s creative journey began with lifelong doodling that grew into a passion for painting and a fascination with light. Working in oil and gouache, Swaminathan paints still life, florals, nature, and landscapes from direct observation, arranging each scene in her studio before capturing it with expressive brushwork. Inspired by the way light transforms ordinary objects, Swaminathan uses bold strokes and textured layers, while also advocating for women pursuing creative paths.
