Katharine Alecse is an oil painter who specializes in life-size hyperrealism. She is based out of the UNESCO village Viscri in Transylvania, Romania. Her work is extremely important to her life, as she celebrates light and life with every new project ranging from a Renaissance style portrait to a gorilla smoking a cigar. She wants to create a dreamscape where the viewer can let their mind wander free.
