John Bingley Garland - Canvas Prints

John Bingley Garland (1791–1875) was an English merchant, colonial politician, and remarkable outsider artist best known for his visionary Victorian collages. Born in Poole, England, and active in Newfoundland as a merchant and the first Speaker of the House of Assembly, Garland later created striking mixed-media collages assembled from engraved prints, natural history imagery, hand-drawn text, and bold red ink motifs.
