Deb Chaney - Canvas Prints

Deb Chaney is a contemporary abstract artist, speaker, and workshop facilitator. Self-taught, with a B.S. in Earth and Ocean Sciences, she began her artistic journey after taking a number of workshops with artists whom she admired, and then selling and exhibiting her work at outdoor fairs and coffee shops in California. Hours, days and sometimes months later, after applying and taking away layers of acrylic paints and mixed media – ranging from sand, polymer mediums, oil sticks, pastels, collage, spray paint, and pencil crayon – on either heavy paper or canvas – a painting emerges, with its own story, its lessons, and the healing gift of its creation.
