Astrid Sheckels is a storyteller at heart, inspired by a lifelong love of illustrated books, nature, and imagination. Working in watercolor and gouache, she creates whimsical worlds filled with animal characters, woodland adventures, seascapes, seasonal charm, and cozy landscapes. A Fine Art graduate who taught herself illustration, Sheckels brings narrative warmth to every piece, including works from her published Sea Dog and Hector Fox series, inviting viewers into friendly, enchanting scenes.
