Jon Wassom typically works very quickly projecting his love of movement into each piece. This also allows him to get little glimpses of how people might see his work for the first time. Jon doesn't like the painting to freeze and become static before his eyes. His artwork is deeply spiritual and is one of the ways Jon gets into a deep meditative state. The paintings are about a subconscious journey or an event. The process is what interests him. Not the end result. "I’m not necessarily interested in what is made, but how its made."
