Rob van Hoek explores the beauty of landscapes through an interplay of color, form, and perspective. His work is inspired by the pictorial qualities of simple lines and dots, allowing him to play with perspectives - from linear to bird’s-eye view, or sometimes none at all. He composes paintings by combining landscape elements rather than depicting actual scenes. Using paint mixed with wax, he adds texture through an underpainting and creates his figurations by drawing with unique tools.
