Darryl Daniels is driven by colors, patterns, or backgrounds in movie scenes that can trigger new ideas. While jazz musicians are a central theme in his work, the inspiration is always visually driven. Daniels describes his layered art as a blend of abstract, figurative, stylized, surrealist, and graphic design elements. A supporter of The Jazz Foundation of America, Daniels donates a portion of his proceeds to help the musicians who enrich our lives.
