Antoine Renault: Photorealistic Paintings of Blissful Water Scenes

iCanvas is thrilled to offer prints by Antoine Renault, whose photorealistic water scenes are full of breathtaking movement and radiantly bright colors. Featuring beautiful displays of people swimming underwater, enjoying shoreline views, and other scenes of seaside moments, his art gives off blissful and invigorating vibes. So when we saw that National Learn to Swim Day is coming up, we instantly wanted to splash into Renault’s artwork with you.

Ever since Renault started painting with his grandma by the beach in the early 90s, he’s been consistently inspired by summer and oceanside atmospheres. He strives to bring his own feelings of freedom and happiness to life with his maritime art, claiming, “the marine life on the island has become my true paradise. All my best memories are connected with this place and I still spend every summer on this island.”

Passionate about the reflection and transparency of water, he typically showcases alluring waves and bright sunny days. In addition to focusing on the H2O, he also opts to paint people he knows in real life – their personality and the way they move impacts the way he translates them on canvas. This results in a relatable yet mesmerizing aesthetic and brings those euphoric feelings to the surface.

From sunbathing boaters to adventurous surfers, each print offers a captivating look at jubilant and revitalizing experiences. Whether it’s a majestic hair flip in the ocean, a delightful deep dive into clear blue ripples, or a vintage Volkswagen by the sand, his aquatic displays reveal pleasant moments in time brought on by the shores. We think his artwork can be a lovely way to bring oceanic joy and refreshing energy to your space.
