Ancient Times, plate XII of 'De Figuris Veneris' , 1900 - Canvas Print

Rendered in warm earth tones with soft beige skin, olive drapery, and golden light, this scene draws on classical Greco-Roman imagery to depict two figures in an intimate embrace within a richly decorated interior. Incense smoke curls beside pottery and floral garlands, framing the moment in an atmosphere of old-world sensuality. Ancient Times, plate XII of 'De Figuris Veneris' by Édouard-Henri Avril brings a bold, historical romance to the wall art of a bedroom or private study, where its classical detail and warmth invite a lingering, intimate mood.
