Sofia Battisti

Based in Italy, Sofia Battisti creates paintings, watercolors, mixed media art, and collage art of plants and animals in colorful nature scenes. Transporting observers to a timeless fairy tale world, she fills her creations with a “harmonious composition and a chromaticism rich in nuances and variations, predominantly in pastel tones”. From greedy cats to pink houses to streets of water, we think her artwork can be a wonderful way to create an imaginative and joyful atmosphere.

Aruna Rao

Florida-based artist Aruna Rao creates paintings of splashing seascapes, boats, and sunny towns. Exploring the beauty of light, color, and atmosphere in the landscape, she invites viewers to “rediscover the essence of nature and the inherent beauty surrounding us”. From beach boys to rocky shores to fishing companions, we think her artwork can be a nice way to create a serene yet refreshing atmosphere. If her coastal art looks familiar, you may have seen her featured in the 2020 ‘Artists to Watch’ section of the Southwest Art Magazine.

Jeff Carpenter

Jeff Carpenter creates paintings of surreal architecture, nature, and people. Believing there are connections between things and aspects of our lives that cannot be well described rationally, he aligns images in a way that “tricks the mind to flicking from one image to the next, back and forth, a mental flickering that is slightly beyond our control”. From wild summer lights to sea horses to magic hours, we think his artwork can be a great way to create an intriguing and dreamlike atmosphere.

Guigen Zha

Based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, Guigen Zha creates paintings of blossoming flowers, nature, and animals with a theme of Eastern cultural relics. Presenting conceptual compositions of traditional Chinese art imposed on contemporary elements, he prefers to seek a “balance of the harmonic and contradictory in each artwork”. From red peonies to rainy lily pads to white horses astray, we think his artwork can be a lovely way to create a blooming and bright atmosphere.
