5 Questions With Marie Massey

Marie Massey creates paintings of scenic and colorful landscapes in an impressionistic style. Featuring a variety of locations such as beaches, rivers, gardens, and more, she creates scenes with soft details and inviting hues. Incorporating a mix of greenery, water, and other natural elements, her pieces are full of serene and invigorating vibes.

With a deep appreciation for the beautiful outdoors, she gathers inspiration from the sights she explores during her extensive travels. Taking in the views around her, she explains her creative vision is often sparked by observing things like “the quiet meandering of a river, the vastness of a desert gorge or the way afternoon sun highlights the curve of an arch”. She brings her detailed paintings to life by emphasizing on light and movement, along with touches of stillness.

No matter if it’s colorful Koi ponds, fields of flourishing flowers, or crashing ocean waves, her creations transport you to peaceful and revitalizing places. Whether you want to see French country hillsides, view beautifully arched pathways, or check out an homage to Monet’s “Water Lilies”, we think her artwork can be a lovely way to bring calmness or refreshing energy to your space.
