The Whittling Boy, 1873 - Canvas Print

A boy in a wide-brimmed straw hat settles onto a fallen tree trunk, whittling a stick with quiet concentration while dappled summer light filters through the leaves above him. Warm ochres, mossy greens, and soil browns fill the woodland clearing, giving the scene a slow, unhurried calm. The Whittling Boy captures a simple childhood moment rooted in nineteenth-century rural life, the kind of stillness that feels worth returning to. This piece of wall art brings an easy, nostalgic warmth to a reading nook, study, or country-style living room.
