The Epsom Derby, 1821 - Canvas Print

Four thoroughbred horses stretch low across the turf in full gallop, jockeys in red, yellow, and blue silks driving them toward a white marker post as a churning, storm-heavy sky presses down over the open field. The Epsom Derby, 1821 captures the speed and tension of the race with moody earth tones cut by flashes of crimson and ochre. Théodore Géricault's classic Romanticist scene brings a sense of motion and sporting history to a wall, making it a striking choice of wall art for a study, library, or den with a traditional, masculine edge.
