The Course of Empire: Destruction, 1836 - Canvas Print

This sweeping panoramic scene captures a classical empire collapsing into fire and chaos, with a headless warrior statue standing watch over crumbling temples, a bridge giving way beneath fleeing crowds, and ships sinking into storm-churned waters. Thick smoke and glowing embers rise against a torn, stormy sky, rendered in deep earth tones and fiery orange light. The Course of Empire: Destruction turns a moment of historical upheaval into unforgettable wall art. Its scale and drama make it a striking choice for a study, library, or any room built around bold, storytelling art.
