Portrait Of Doctor Gabriel Tapie De Celeyran Behind The Scenes Of A Theatre, 1894 - Canvas Print

A tall gentleman strides down a backstage corridor, his charcoal coat and silk top hat catching the eye against a burnt terracotta floor. Loose, expressive brushwork traces his lean frame and wry expression, while shadowy figures in green coats and pink headpieces drift through the muted teal and brown backdrop. Toulouse-Lautrec captures a fleeting, candid moment of Belle Époque theatre life. This piece of wall art brings old-world Parisian character to a study, library, or reading nook where its rich, moody palette can hold its own.
