Joseph-Etienne Roulin, 1889 - Canvas Print

This portrait brings the postman Joseph-Étienne Roulin to life with a swirling salt-and-pepper beard, ruddy cheeks, and steady blue eyes beneath his "POSTES" cap. Vincent van Gogh builds the face and beard with thick, energetic brushstrokes, set against a flat, blooming backdrop of chartreuse green and pink florals. The contrast gives the piece an intimate, almost storytelling presence. Joseph-Etienne Roulin, 1889 wall art brings warmth and character to a reading nook, study, or hallway gallery wall where its rich color and history can be appreciated up close.
