Esther Before Ahasuerus, c.1630 - Canvas Print

Queen Esther sinks into the arms of her attendants as King Ahasuerus leans forward from his throne, his concern breaking through the formality of the royal court. Deep umber shadows and golden light carve the figures out of the darkness, catching the sapphire sash, plum mantle, and shimmering silk of their Baroque dress. Artemisia Gentileschi's Esther Before Ahasuerus captures a moment of real human tension inside a grand historical scene. This wall art brings weight and drama to a study, library, or formal dining room where a bigger story deserves space on the wall.
