Dog At Rest, 1650 - Canvas Print

A white dog curls into sleep beside an earthenware jug and a woven basket in Dog At Rest, 1650, painted in deep, shadowed browns that let the dog's fur catch the light. Gerrit Dou renders every strand of fur and worn wood grain with quiet precision, giving the scene a stillness that feels almost like a held breath. This classic wall art suits a study, library, or reading corner where a calmer, old-world mood fits right in.
