Detail Of Head, The Christ Child, The Madonna Delle Ombre (Madonna of the Shadows), 1450 - Canvas Print

This close-up detail of the Christ Child brings a quiet devotion into view, with soft golden curls, rosy cheeks, and wide brown eyes framed by a radiant halo of fine sunburst lines. Fra Angelico's gentle brushwork carries the warmth of early Renaissance fresco, its aged surface and craquelure lending a sense of history to the sacred image. Rendered in earthy ochre, ivory, and touches of lapis and rose, Detail Of Head, The Christ Child, The Madonna Delle Ombre brings quiet reverence as wall art for a reading nook, hallway, or sacred corner of the home.
