Lola Mitchell is French-Argentinian artist who has been living in Los Angeles since 1999. Her father was a fashion and theater photographer and her mother was a contemporary dancer. Growing up between a darkroom and a stage, her work includes heavy manipulations through digital editing and elements of movement. Underwater photography is where she is most at home, the process of shooting without oxygen allows her to tune out the world and focus on the moment in a meditational state. Lola considers individuality through movement to be the most interesting aspect of her work.
