What is Chicago Furniture Bank?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Chicago Furniture Bank<\/a> is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing dignity, stability, and comfort to Chicagoans facing poverty. Their mission is simple yet impactful: to help people turn empty spaces into fully furnished homes by allowing clients to handpick an entire home’s worth of furniture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each furnishing package includes essential items like beds, couches, armchairs, dressers, desks, coffee tables, kitchen tables with chairs, artwork, and much more. Through this process, they\u2019re not just furnishing homes – they\u2019re building stability, improving quality of life, and restoring a sense of pride and belonging for their clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their impact goes far beyond furniture. Chicago Furniture Bank also creates job opportunities for at-risk youth, reduces environmental waste by redistributing gently used furniture, and offers convenient removal services for furniture donors. It\u2019s a holistic approach to addressing poverty and sustainability, making them a vital resource for the Chicago community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How iCanvas is Partnering with Chicago Furniture Bank<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Chicago Furniture Bank recognizes the importance of art in creating a welcoming, comfortable home. As part of their mission to furnish homes for those in need, they provide two pieces of art to every client – adding a personal, decorative touch that transforms a house into a home. Currently, they serve about 80 clients per week, each receiving carefully curated furniture and artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support this incredible initiative, iCanvas is proud to donate around 30 canvases every month. By contributing to their inventory, we’ll help to ensure every client has the opportunity to enhance their space with meaningful art. This partnership will not only increase the availability of art but also allow Chicago Furniture Bank to provide even more artwork per client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re honored to play a role in bringing the transformative power of art to Chicagoans in need, one canvas at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
