Since 2018, we\u2019ve been proudly supporting the National Museum of Women in the Arts\u2019<\/a> initiative to increase representation and awareness of female artists. Continuously inspired by their year-long #5WomenArtists campaign, we\u2019re keeping the conversation going by once again<\/a> featuring women artists throughout Women\u2019s History Month. We hope you\u2019ll discover a new favorite female creator (or five).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From playful storytellers to nature explorers, these 10 female artists hope to give off feelings of magic, introspection, empowerment, and more through their work. With subjects ranging from imaginative worlds to captivating portraiture to wild animals, these creators bring in a vast array of styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you\u2019re into travel photography, mythical creatures, whimsical females, or touches of unusual energy, the work from these 10 women artists is a mix of boldly curious and delightfully charming. 1. Lori Earley<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lori Earley\u2019s goal as an artist is to \u201cmake the usual unusual, accentuating and distorting everything, laced with an eerie, clandestine unique atmosphere.\u201d Her portraiture of stylized, elongated subjects and dramatic lighting of the Baroque period evokes an odd yet captivating energy. With her subjects\u2019 long necks, large eyes, and touches of darkness, she brings us into the unfamiliar. From caterpillar dreams to a black-eyed Susan to a scene right before the rain, we think her artwork can be a great way to create an introspective and curious atmosphere. 2. Amy Brown<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Residing in the Pacific Northwest along with various annoying house goblins and garden trolls, Amy Brown\u2019s fantasy creations are meant to spark feelings of joy. Hoping to create images that \u201cinspire others to create, make people happy, and generally brighten your mood\u201d, her collection features watercolors, mixed media art, and drawings of faeries, dragons, and other mythical creatures. From pumpkin queens to pixie gossip to woodland guardians, her prints provide a sense of wonder and imagination. Michigan artist Lindsey Dahl\u2019s paintings of wild animals, bright flowers, and other outdoor scenes are full of energizing colors and textures. Bethany Young\u2019s photographs showcase ocean views, cityscapes, retro signs, architecture, and more. Based outside of Toronto, Lisa Finch\u2019s paintings feature nostalgic and eccentric imagery of women wearing vintage outfits in colorful interiors and nature, surrounded by animal friends. Inspired by fond childhood memories of summers at the family cottage and her passion for animals, books, and sparkly things, she \u201cpaints scenes close to her heart with a touch of whimsy\u201d.
