Since 2018, we\u2019ve been proudly supporting the National Museum of Women in the Arts<\/a>\u2019 initiative to increase representation and awareness of female artists. To further help their year-long #5WomenArtists campaign, we\u2019re keeping the conversation going by once again<\/a> featuring 50 women artists throughout Women\u2019s History Month. We hope you\u2019ll discover a new favorite female creator (or five).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From fantasy fans to fashion aficionados, these 10 female artists aim to bring playful whimsy, feminine flair, and more types of energy into their work. With a variety of illustrations, photography, and mixed media portraiture, some take inspiration from their childhood while others are captivated by the world around them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you vibe with mid century modern designs, classic vintage style, powerful surreal scenes, or inspirational colorful phrases, the work from these 10 women artists ranges from uplifting and lighthearted to bold and empowering. 1. <\/strong>Lolita Lorenzo<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Kenyan-American artist Carol Muthiga-Oyekunle was inspired to start the Lolita Lorenzo brand during her excursions across Africa. Her pieces are heavily influenced by the \u201crich, vibrant colors and graphic prints found in many of the textile markets\u201d, along with the traditional women of the region. As a fashion designer, her prints mainly focus on stylish, surreal headpieces. Inspired by the home decor catalogs she admired in the \u201860s as a child, Donna Mibus creates playful room scenes.
