Women have been historically underrepresented in the art industry.<\/a> Since 2018, we\u2019ve joined NMWA to shift that narrative by spreading awareness of the many female artists creating incredible art across all mediums and styles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you want to create a motivational space with fierce feminine quotes, or you\u2019re an environmental fashionista looking for style rooted in sustainability, these 10 creators make art designed to inspire women and girls of all ages and interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Erin Summer<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Combining photography and graphic design, Erin Summer reimagines the ordinary as scenes from a daydream with pops of pastels and bubbly vibes. Passionate about spreading positivity, her playful takes on everyday occurrences and objects effortlessly capture the childlike imagination within us and serve as a welcome reminder to search for magic in the mundane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Kelly Lottahall<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t have a lot of money to buy a ton of new clothes, so I was constantly cutting up my clothes to make them look different and fresh.\u201d Using scraps of this leftover fabric inspired sustainable artist Kelly Lottahall to give her old clothes yet another life \u2014 this time on canvas. Dressing hand drawn feminine figures in trendy outfits, her illustrations combine her love for fashion with her love for recycling to create chic works for fashionistas of all styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Harmony Willow<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Harmony Hansen, the artist behind Harmony Willow Studio, celebrates individuality through her illustrations. 4. Belinda Eaton<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by her nomadic existence, the places it’s taken her and the worldview she\u2019s gained from it, Belinda Eaton brings an edgy perspective to paintings of men and women who all have a unique story to tell. She sees their world as one of \u201ccolor, vivid characters and uncontained energy that can\u2019t be trapped by the limits of the canvas.\u201d Combining elements of magical realism with ornate patterns and emotional depth, she makes it easy for viewers to get lost in that world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Encouraged by a couple glasses of sangria, Heather Perry created Drunk Girl Designs to transform the musings of her mind into quirky decor. And she\u2019s more than delivered \u2014 painting everything from feminist icons to legendary TV characters to stylish animals donning fancy clothes. The lowbrow lightheartedness of her work contrasted with the classic medium of oil paint has led to collaborations with Comedy Central, HBO, and Universal Pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Elly Azizian<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Combining neat lines, sporadic shading and feminine figures, Elly Azizian draws high fashion illustrations fit for New York Fashion Week (but literally<\/a>). Her work featuring fashionistas dressed in Haute Couture has led to collaborations with several fashion houses, including Oscar de la Renta, Valentino and Marchesa. 9. Cherriuki<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by the world of anime, Cherriuki\u2019s illustrations transport us to a dreamy world full of fantastical females and celestial charm. Her juxtaposition of earthly elements with a surreal softness results in an otherworldly feeling of magic only found in storybooks and folklore. In hopes of bringing more joy to her fans, she is currently working on a stationary side project featuring her characters Mushroom Girl & Rabbit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
